RAD Vocational school is held every Sunday. It is aimed at the most dedicated and enthusiastic students who may be considering a career in dance. You can attend even if you do classes at another dance school as a way of getting extra exam coaching. We cover all 6 vocational  levels from RAD Intermediate Foundation to Advanced 2. Solo Seal can also be taught. Included in this program is pointe work, pas de deux and PBT Progressive Ballet Technique.

The RAD offers an internationally- recognised portfolio of examinations and assessments. Designed to encourage, motivate and reward students of all ages and abilities, outlining a progressive structure for learning and achievement in dance.

At RJS Ballet students start at Pre Primary and Primary levels and move to the eight graded levels and six vocational graded levels. Both graded and vocational exams can be studied simultaneously.

RJS Ballet offers a full range of RAD examinations. Many students study a variety of other dance styles alongside ballet training to enrich and strengthen  a solid technical foundation of ballet

At RJS Ballet we pride ourselves on being leaders in dance education. We aim to create a magical dance experience in a safe, inclusive and fun environment.

Whether for fun and fitness or to develop technique and skills, we provide a full timetable of classes offering something for everyone.

All of our staff are DBS checked and qualified to the highest standard in their field of expertise. We ensure this standard is upheld by taking part in CPD activities and gaining new qualifications. We have a Harlequin sprung dance floor which is top of the range, mirrors, ballet barres, student dressing room, a reception area and dance shop. Refreshments are available whilst you wait and you will be invited to watch class during open week. All children will be given the opportunity to perform in our annual show held at NSCD in Leeds. Exam sessions are held throughout the year for students who have reached exam standard.

Let their imagination take them on a magical, fun, exciting and educational journey through dance. Dance has many benefits e.g:  Improved confidence, concentration, stamina, memory, flexibility as well as giving your child better self discipline and independence. Dance improves health and well being. Dance students are often ahead of peers when starting school due to the extra skills gained. Dream tots is for walking children and their parent or guardian. Pre School Ballet is for children aged 2 and above. Both programs are an excellent foundation for RAD exams and all children will be invited to perform in our annual show.
